PGA TOUR Professionals Take to the Autobahn Racetrack at the 2011 BMW Championship to Benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation
Lemont, IL – September 13, 2011… A group of PGA TOUR players including Rickie Fowler, Cameron Tringale, Sergio Garcia, Keegan Bradley, George McNeil and Mark Leishman, practiced a different type of driving as they competed against one another to raise money to benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation—one of the nation’s largest
privately funded scholarship foundations. Led by Joey Hand, BMW American Le Mans Series race car driver, players had the opportunity to open up a cadre of BMW vehicles on the track, including the BMW M3 Coupe and Sedan, BMW X5 M, BMW X6 M, BMW 1 Series M and BMW 650i Convertible .
All proceeds from the BMW Championship benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, which provides full university tuition and housing grants to deserving young caddies.
Since 2007, the BMW Championship has raised more than $9 million for the Evans Scholars Foundation, one of the nation’s largest privately funded scholarship foundations.
