Towing a Drift Boat

Watching Tony tow his drift boat on the river bed on a recent fishing trip reminded me of all the times I’ve dug vehicles out of the sand. Growing up on the Oregon coast where we have some of the best sand dunes anywhere, gave us plenty of opportunity to learn some things about driving in sand.

Here’s my number one tip: if the vehicle isn’t moving, stop. You’re not going to accomplish anything but digging a hole.
