F-150 lowering kit
STREET PREP FOR 2004-2012 FORD F-150
The MaxTrac F-150 kit uses replacement coil springs on the factory struts to lower the front end three inches
ANAHEIM, Calif. — MaxTrac Suspension has an easy way to slam late-model F-150s. Its new 3/5 Lowering Kit is engineered for easy installation — no welding or cutting required.
The MaxTrac F-150 kit uses replacement coil springs on the factory struts to lower the front end three inches. This simplifies post-slam wheel alignment. Installation requires using a strut compressor for safety. Do-it-yourselfers can usually have this done affordably by a shop.
The rear MaxTrac components give a five-inch drop. Installation doesn’t require gas-tank removal or frame modifications. Instead, MaxTrac uses a flip-kit and new shackles with the factory leaf springs. The kit also includes U-bolts, spring plates, proper-length gas-charged twin-tube shocks, replacement bumpstops and the necessary mounting hardware. All MaxTrac products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
The bottom line is that MaxTrac’s 3/5 F-150 drop is well-engineered for easy installation. It’s also very affordable. Dealer-direct pricing is available. (MaxTrac also offers other lowering kits and components to drop F-150s anywhere from one inch to six inches.)
